NopaLeadership is a boutique leadership development firm founded in 2017 to bridge the gap between leadership theory and day-to-day supervision. Like our namesake, the nopal (Spanish for prickly pear cactus), we aim to build resourceful and resilient teams that can prosper in even harsh conditions. MEET THE FOUNDER:
DR. CAROL WHEELER
Dr. Carol Wheeler brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership, coaching, and organizational development, across many industries, functions, and sectors. Passionate about building and nurturing high-performing teams, Dr. Wheeler developed the Clarity x Connection™ formula, a framework that guides the content, curriculum, and facilitation of all manager development, team alignment, and speaking engagements she oversees through NopaLeadership.
Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Dr. Wheeler holds a bachelor’s degree in leadership development from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University, and a Ph.D., in leadership studies from Texas A&M University.

Is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and expert in CliftonStrengths
Has 12 years experience teaching leadership at Texas A&M University and Our Lady of the Lake University
Previously served as HR director of a family-owned business
Founded and actively manages Sammelplatz coworking space in New Braunfels, Texas
